Ruth Chang (Philosopher) -
Hard choices are when options are viewed as better in some ways, and not as good in others. There is no BEST option. In these situations, when we COMMIT to an option, it gives us a valuable opportunity to DEFINE OURSELVES.
Steps to make hard choice
1 - figure out what matters in the choice btwn the alternatives
2 - did I miss something that matters?
3 - recognize there's no best option
4 - commit to one option! Create a reason!
5 - you make yourself who you are
